It also provides rotary switches, including coded switches, rotary encoders, rotary selector switches, audio switches, knobs, terminals, and mentor components, as well as light guides, LEDs, and arrays; and electronics enclosures, such as a line of vertical cabinets, racks, desktop/portable cases, wall mount enclosures, and electronics consoles and desks, as well as accessories, such as air flow/cooling, cable management, drawers/shelves/slides/writing, hardware, power and lighting, filler panels, e-broadcast-racks and frontier-series accessories, and pioneer-pioneer-seismic products. In addition, the company offers backplanes, including AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA backplanes; CompactPCI backplanes; VITA, PICMG, and other architectures; VMEbus/VXS backplanes; VPX/OpenVPX backplanes; custom backplanes, IO, and carriers; and accessories, including extender boards, RTMs, adapters, load boards, form factors, power interface and filler boards, and cabling systems. Elma Electronic AG offers its products for various customers in broadcast radio, TV, satellite, and film; communications, and telecom and video on demand; avionics; defense and aerospace; industrial; medical; safety and security; scientific; test and measurement; and transportation industries. The company offers its products and services primarily through distributors. Elma Electronic AG was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Wetzikon, Switzerland.
