Bouygues SA, together with its subsidiaries, operates in the construction, telecommunication, and media sectors worldwide. It designs, builds, renovates, and restores various types of buildings required for human activity, including houses and apartment blocks, industrial and commercial premises, public amenities, schools and universities, hospitals, offices, hotels and museums, airports, exhibition centers, leisure amenities, etc.; and civil works projects, such as underground works, complex civil engineering projects, engineering structures, roads, ports, public transport infrastructures, etc., as well as provides technical solutions in the areas of energy, industry, service transport, environment, and telecom sectors, including energy network infrastructures, street lighting, digital networks, electrical, mechanical and HVAC engineering, facilities management, etc. The company is also involved construction and maintenance of roads, highways, runways, ports, industrial platforms, logistics hubs, reserved-lane public transport, recreational facilities, bike paths, motor racing circuits, and environmental projects; and provision of civil engineering services, construction, rehabilitation, and demolition/deconstruction services, as well as specialized services, including waterproofing, railways, sale of refined products, road safety and signaling, and pipelines. Further, it is engaged in the provision of free TV with TF1, NT1, HD1, and TMC channels and pay TV with Eurosport, TV Breizh, Ushuaïa TV, Histoire, Stylía, LCI, TF6, and Série Club channels; production of audiovisuals and films; acquisition and trading of audiovisual rights; distribution of movies; sale of commercials; and publishing of DVDs and music CDs. Additionally, it offers mobile and fixed line telecommunication services, as well as TV and Internet services. Bouygues SA was founded in 1952 and is based in Paris, France.

Altice S.A. (ENXTAM:ATC) would be interested in buying Bouygues Telecom SA if Bouygues SA (ENXTPA:EN) decided it wanted to sell, Chief Executive Dexter Goei said on November 20, 2014. "It’s positive that Altice has the ambition to one day buy Bouygues Telecom but I am skeptical about the reality of that happening,” Chief Executive of Orange, Stéphane Richard said.

Bouygues SA Announces Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 2014

Bouygues SA announced earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 2014. For the third quarter, the company reported sales of EUR 9,041 million against EUR 8,994 million a year ago. Operating profit was EUR 426 million against EUR 531 million a year ago. Net profit attributable to the Group was EUR 318 million against EUR 360 million a year ago. For the nine months period, the company's sales were up 1% at EUR 24.2 billion. Current operating profit stood at EUR 554 million in the period, down EUR 324 million compared to the first nine months of 2013. Operating profit and net profit benefited from 3 noncurrent items, which were already accounted for in the first half results, the capital gains on the sale of the stakes in Eurosport International and Cofiroute and the noncurrent income at Bouygues Telecom. As a result, Net profit was EUR 728 million in the period, which was EUR 180 million more than last year at the same period. Net debt was EUR 5 billion at end September 2014. Net cash flow contributed EUR 165 million less than last year in the third quarter due to the decrease in current operating income. Capital expenditures increased by EUR 55 million in the period due to the higher investment at Colas after a very low level in 2013 and the start of large projects at Bouygues Construction. Free cash flow was EUR 515 million against EUR 660 million a year ago. Net profit attributable to the Group was EUR 728 million against EUR 548 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 1,488 million against EUR 1,849 million a year ago.
