Eqstra Holdings Limited engages in the distribution, long-term lease, and rental of mobile capital equipment, and the provision of related value-added annuity services to clients in the construction, mining, industrial, and commercial sectors in South Africa, rest of Africa, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The company’s Contract Mining and Plant Rental division provides opencast contract mining services, such as drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and rehabilitation, as well as plant rental of heavy earthmoving equipment. This division contracts with clients in a range of sectors, primarily coal, platinum, nickel, and chrome. Its Construction and Mining Equipment division imports and distributes construction and mining equipment. This division also provides aftermarket support services to the mining and construction sectors. The company’s Fleet Management and Logistics division offers leasing, fleet management, and related products and services for passenger and commercial vehicles. This division provides various fleet management solutions to commercial vehicle fleet owners, as well as transport and logistics solutions in both the commodity and dry bulk sectors. Its Industrial Equipment division offers distribution, leasing, rental, and value-added services in the materials handling, industrial, and agricultural equipment markets. This division primarily services blue chip clients in a range of sectors, such as retail, manufacturing, ports and container handling, mining, warehousing, airports, fast-moving consumer goods, and agriculture. The company was incorporated in 1998 and is based in Kempton Park, South Africa.
