Fiat Industrial S.p.A. offers trucks and commercial vehicles under the Iveco, Iveco Irisbus, Iveco Astra, Iveco Magirus, and Iveco Defence Vehicles brand names. The company also engages in the design, production, and sale of propulsion and transmission systems for on-and off-road trucks and commercial vehicles, as well as engines for marine and power generation applications under the FPT Industrial brand name. In addition, it provides financial products, such as dealer and end customer financing, finance and operating leases, credit cards, equipment rental programs, and insurance products for the purchase of its agricultural and construction equipment, and trucks and commercial vehicles. The company is headquartered in Turin, Italy. Fiat Industrial S.p.A. (CM:FI) operates independently of Fiat S.p.A. as of January 3, 2011.

Fiat Industrial SpA Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter of 2013; Provides Net Debt Guidance for the Year 2013

Fiat Industrial SpA reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter of 2013. Revenues are flat quarter-to-quarter, with the performance of agricultural equipment and powertrain offsetting decline in truck and commercial vehicles and construction equipment. Trading profit is down EUR 23 million over the prior year, and a reduction of trading margin from EUR 7.4 million to 7% for the quarter. Net profit before exceptional items down EUR 7 million for the quarter. Net industrial debt is up by EUR 900 million, reflecting the seasonal working capital absorption and that reflected in available liquidity on the bottom right-hand of the slide. Capex reached EUR 247 million, mainly related to hired trucks and commercial vehicles, capital spending and investment expansions in the recourse of business in China, Brazil, India and Argentina, as well some engine emissions compliance programs in Fiat Industrial. Revenues down 4% to EUR 1.8 billion on the back of volume declines, reflecting market trends and market demand. The company provided net debt guidance for the year 2013. The company expects net debt, up by around EUR 300 million, partly, is coming from lower contribution from operating profit.
