Fimalac In Talks To Acquire Webedia

F. Marc de Lacharrière (Fimalac) Société Anonyme (ENXTPA:FIM) is planning to acquire Webedia SAS. Fimalac said, it is in exclusive talks to buy the majority of digital media group Webedia, adding that it planned to arrange financing of €20 million to speed up the unit's development in France and internationally.

F. Marc de Lacharrière (Fimalac) Société Anonyme reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter of 2013. The company's consolidated revenue for the first quarter of 2013 amounted to EUR 11.9 million compared with EUR 8.5 million for the same period of 2012. This amount is not particularly representative, as several of the group's businesses (including Fitch) are accounted for by the equity method. The main contributors to the top line are the subsidiaries in the Entertainment business - mainly Vega (venue management) - which generated first quarter revenue of EUR 10.4 million versus EUR 7 million in the year-earlier period. The total also includes rental revenue derived from the group's real estate assets for an amount of EUR 1.5 million, stable year-on-year.

F. Marc de Lacharrière (Fimalac) Société Anonyme reported consolidated earnings results for the 15 months ended December 31, 2012. For the period, the company reported recurring operating loss of EUR 9.3 million. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was EUR 197.8 million. Revenue was EUR 789.3 million. EBITDA was EUR 293.0 million. Recurring operating profit was EUR 250.9 million. At the Annual Shareholder’s Meeting on June 11, 2013, the Board of Directors will recommend paying a dividend of EUR 1.80 per share, compared to EUR 1.50 the year before. The ex-dividend date will be June 14, 2013 and the dividend will be payable as from June 19, 2013. The EUR 1.80 dividend includes a special dividend of EUR 0.30 per share to take into account the strong fiscal 2012 profit, which was positively impacted by major capital gains.
