Groupe Fnac Announces Consolidated Revenue Results for the Second Quarter and Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Half Ended June 30, 2014; Signs with Syndicate of Lenders an Amendment to the EUR 250 Million Revolving Credit Facility

Groupe Fnac announced consolidated revenue results for the second quarter and consolidated earnings results for the first half ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the consolidated revenues amounted to EUR 800 million, a decrease of 1.1% compared with the same period of 2013. For the first half, the company reported revenues of EUR 1,639 million against EUR 1,669 million a year ago. Operating loss was EUR 27.3 million against EUR 20.2 million a year ago. Net loss from continuing operations was EUR 36.9 million against EUR 30.6 million a year ago. Consolidated net income attributable to owners of the company was EUR 37 million compared to EUR 30.6 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 16.4 million compared to EUR 20.6 million a year ago. Free cash flow from operations improved by EUR 19 million compared to the first half of 2013 and amounted to negative EUR 273 million, compared with EUR 292 million in the first half of 2013. On July 24, the group signed with the syndicate of lenders an amendment to the EUR 250 million revolving credit facility concluded on April 19, 2013. The principal terms of this amendment, which attest to the strengthening of the group`s financial profile, include the maturity of the loan and the mandatory repayment clause, should there be any changes in Artémis stake in the capital of the company. The maturity of the credit facility was extended to July 24, 2017 (versus April 18, 2016 initially). The mandatory repayment clause, should Artémis stake in the capital of the company fall below 38.8% before April 18, 2015, and 25% before April 18, 2016, is maintained in its original form without extension until the new maturity of the credit facility.

Fnac Opens Connected Objects Store on Champs Elysees

Fnac announced that it was opening a 125 sq mt store on Paris's Champs Elysees entirely dedicated to smartphones and connected objects. The store will offer connected products in four areas, namely health and well-being, connected watches, connected sports, and home and leisure. It will showcase two new Parrot mini-drones on July 21, 2014.
