Orange Denies Exit Talks And Is Instead Seeking New Partner

Orange (ENXTPA:ORA) is seeking strategic partners to inject fresh capital and not buyers of its 70% stake in Telkom Kenya Limited. Mickael Ghossein, Chief Executive Officer of Orange, refused to divulge the amount being sought saying the matter is being handled in France.

MTN, Bharti And Orange Reportedly To Sell Assets

MTN Group Limited (JSE:MTN), Bharti Airtel Limited (BSE:532454) and Orange (ENXTPA:ORA) are considering to sell mobile tower networks in Africa, according to people familiar with the matter. MTN is selling about 15,000 of its towers across 17 countries for $2 billion to $2.5 billion, said the people, who asked not to be named because the negotiations are private. Orange is considering disposing of towers in sub-Saharan Africa and Egypt.

Investors Reportedly Eye Orange Uganda

LAP Green Network is reportedly interested in entering a bid for Orange Uganda Limited. Orange (ENXTPA:ORA) has appointed asset management firm Lazard to find an acquirer for its division in Uganda, and is likely to exit the crowded sector as part of a strategy to leave markets in Africa. MTN Group Limited (JSE:MTN) and Vodacom Group Limited (JSE:VOD) are also reportedly interested in buying Orange Uganda.
