GE Announces Executive Appointments

GE announced the appointment of three new company officers. Michael Gosk has been appointed as vice president, global tax director for GE Capital. Gosk joined GE in 2008 and has held a series of leadership roles in tax for GE Capital. Most recently, he served as GE Capital tax director. James Mock has been appointed as vice president, finance for GE Oil & Gas. Mock joined GE in 1999 and has held a series of leadership roles in finance for GE Corporate Finance, GE Capital and GE Aviation. Most recently, he served as senior executive, finance for GE Oil & Gas. Raj Thakkar has been appointed as vice president, supply chain & sourcing for GE Energy Management. Thakkar joined GE in 1994 and has held a series of leadership roles in engineering, Six Sigma, manufacturing, sourcing and supplier quality for GE Consumer & Industrial, GE Energy Services and GE Energy Management. GE and Sabine Pass Liquefaction Sign $1 Billion Service Agreement for Sabine Pass LNG Export Terminal

GE and Sabine Pass Liquefaction announced that they have entered into a $1 billion, 20+-year service contract under which GE will provide spare parts and planned inspections, maintenance services and round-the-clock technical support for the gas turbines and refrigerant compressors on the first four LNG trains currently under construction at the Sabine Pass LNG export facility. Each train will have six gas turbines and is expected to have nominal capacity to produce approximately 4.5 million metric tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG. The contract announced will see GE provide services that cover all major maintenance for the first four LNG trains, including parts, repairs and field services as well as a resident team of 14 local experts including field and repair services to assist with all aspects of maintenance on the GE equipment. GE also will provide access to original parts, supported by the technical expertise of GE’s field engineers, which will ensure optimal reliability. GE will be supplying services for the following products: 24 PGT25+ G4 gas turbines to power the LNG trains; 56 centrifugal compressors; Associated auxiliaries. GE’s Oil & Gas Services 2.0 package will use its Predictivity technology for equipment monitoring and pre-emptive maintenance, maximizing uptime. The project also will benefit from the expertise of the Houston GE Oil & Gas iCenter, which features more than 11 million hours of machine data and is one of three global centers strategically set up in different time zones to ensure 24/7 monitoring and diagnostics services for GE Oil & Gas’ installed fleet.

Oando Gas & Power Limited Signs Memorandum of Understanding with General Electric to Collaborate in Developing Power Generation Projects

Oando Gas & Power Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with General Electric to engage in initiatives as an indication of their commitment to collaborate in developing power generation projects, compressed natural gas, or CNG, and small scale liquefied natural gas, or LNG, virtual pipeline capabilities for gas-to-power projects on a non-exclusive basis. Specifically, OGP and GE intend to work to develop the following projects in 2015: 100MW embedded power generation projects in Lagos using 5 GE TM2500 units (FastPower); one 10mmscf/d small scale LNG facility to serve identified markets at distances greater than 300kms away from the gas distribution grid; and two CNG facilities to serve local markets in Lagos and Port Harcourt environs. By the end of December 2014, the parties have agreed to work towards the following: securing funding for the Projects. GE commits to working with OGP to provide comprehensive sales and project financing (S&PF) project management capability to deliver a competitive financing package to OGP; negotiation and execution of contracts with appropriate terms and conditions for GE equipment /services, enabling supply chain management of inventory for the Projects; and establishing a leadership development paradigm for OGP via GE resources.
