Chief Executive Officer of Grontmij NV (ENXTAM:GRONT), Michiel Jaski, told local media that the sale of French monitoring and testing (M&T) business is progressing well. Jaski added that both strategic and financial parties have so far signalled interest in the up for sale unit but did not disclose the expected completion time frame for the transaction.

Grontmij NV reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported total revenue of EUR 192,024,000 compared to EUR 202,676,000 a year ago. Net revenue was EUR 161,322,000 compared to EUR 172,551,000 a year ago. Operating result was EUR 553,000 compared to EUR 219,000 a year ago. Loss before income tax was EUR 2,895,000 compared to EUR 3,764,000 a year ago. Loss after income tax from continuing operations was EUR 593,000 compared to EUR 4,572,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was EUR 1,231,000 compared to loss attributable to equity holders of the company of EUR 5,814,000 a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was EUR 11,929,000. Acquisition of intangible assets was EUR 128,000. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was EUR 2,048,000. Net debt per March 31, 2013 was EUR 132,000,000 compared to EUR 204,200,000 a year ago. EBITA was EUR 2,000,000 compared to EUR 1,700,000 a year ago. Net result from continuing operations in the first quarter 2013 was negative at EUR 0.6 million, compared to EUR 4.6 million for the last year, mainly due to less exceptional items related to restructuring measures last year and a one-off tax gain as a result of renewed calculation for deferred tax liabilities following tax rate changes in the UK and Sweden.
