On June 13, 2011 Mr. Tyson Rohde resigned as Go Solar USA, Inc.'s Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Principal Financial Officer to pursue other interests. Mr. Rohde's departure was not the result of a disagreement with the company.
Go Solar USA, Inc. announced that the company will initiate a feasibility study for developing the Volt Solar Charger for use with smartphones manufactured by HTC, BlackBerry, Samsung and other top brands. The Volt Solar Charger is a renewable-energy battery pack that attaches to the Apple iPhone and extends the device's talk time using a built-in solar panel and a 1,500 mAh rechargeable battery. The initial manufacturing run of the Volt is compatible with the iPhone 3, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. With the Volt's first production run complete, GSLO will turn its focus to adding more smartphones to that list.
