Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. reported unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported net sales/income from operations (net of excise duty) of INR 1,368.537 million compared to INR 1,397.738 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income and financial costs and exceptional items was INR 114.146 million compared to INR 114.798 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 78.450 million compared to INR 67.370 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 56.600 million or INR 2.39 per basic and diluted share compared to INR 43.344 million or INR 1.83 per basic and diluted share a year ago. For nine months, the company reported net sales/income from operations (net of excise duty) of INR 4,545.905 million compared to INR 4,190.538 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income and financial costs and exceptional items was INR 357.006 million compared to INR 339.529 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 244.756 million compared to INR 222.311 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 176.746 million or INR 7.46 per basic and diluted share compared to INR 157.985 million or INR 6.66 per basic and diluted share a year ago.

Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. reported that the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on February 12, 2013, has transacted the following: Mr. Ashish M. Boradkar, appointed as Company Secretary & Head- Legal, has joined the company's services on January 21, 2013. The board of directors of the company has taken note of the appointment of Mr. Boradkar as Company Secretary effective from February 12, 2013 and the Board decided to designate Mr. Ashish M. Boradkar as Compliance Officer of the Company with immediate effect, in place of Mr. A. S. Wagle who has reached age of superannuation.
