The company operates offshore service vessels primarily in the Norwegian, British, and Danish sectors of the North Sea, as well as in the Republic of Angola, Egypt, Brazil, and Asia. Its fleet consists of 9 anchor-handling vessels, 14 platform supply vessels, 2 rescue recovery vessels, and 3 subsea vessels. The company’s anchor handling tug and supply vessels are used for moving rigs and putting out anchors, as well as for supply services; platform supply vessels are used to carry goods, water, drilling mud, and chemicals to and from the offshore installations; rescue-and recovery vessels are used to offer security services, such as oil spill preparedness, fire protection, and rescue operation; and subsea vessels are used for under water construction work, as well as for support for under water operations. The company was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Fosnavåg, Norway. Havila Shipping ASA is a subsidiary of Havila AS.

Havila Shipping ASA announced that Statoil has declared one year (last) option for the AHTS vessel Havila Mars for the period from June 2014 until June 2015. Statoil also continue to charter the PSV Havila Clipper. Now for a firm period of 3 months starting in March with three monthly options from June. Both vessels have been working for Statoil from the time of delivery from yard. Havila Mars since June 2007 and Havila Clipper since January 2011. The day rates are agreed based on market terms.

Total operating income and profit on sale was NOK 360,235,000 against NOK 340,823,000 a year ago. Operating result was NOK 115,898,000 against NOK 125,686,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was NOK 4,272,000 against NOK 10,971,000 a year ago. Loss after tax was NOK 51,334,000 or NOK 1.70 per diluted share against NOK 872,000 or NOK 0.47 per diluted share a year ago. Net cash flow from operating activity was NOK 184,546,000 against NOK 72,265,000 a year ago. Book equity per share was NOK 67 against NOK 67 a year ago. The improved profit before tax in 2013 compared with 2012 is mainly because of improved EBITDA as a consequence of fewer hired vessels.
