Henderson Group plc declared a final dividend of 5.05 pence per share at the AGM held on May 1, 2013.
Henderson Group plc announced that at the AGM Chairman has decided to step down after nine years on the Board and eight as Chairman. Richard Gillingwater, who was recently appointed as a Non-Executive Director, will become Chairman at the end of AGM. Henderson will be well served by someone of Richard's standing, and his extensive boardroom experience will be a great asset to the Company.
Henderson Group plc announced interim management statement for the period from 1 January 2013 to 31 March 2013. For the period, total AUM increased by £3.2 billion during the period to £68.9 billion due to favorable market and FX movements of £4.5 billion offset by net outflows of £1.3 billion. Net Retail inflows were £188 million. This is the first quarter of positive growth since first quarter 2011 and is an encouraging result since it includes outflows of £400 million from the previously announced loss of two investment trust mandates, but does not capture the win of a new investment trust mandate which transferred to on 1 April 2013. Net retail inflows were £188 million. Net institutional outflows, excluding Phoenix, were £1.2 billion. Total net assets of £817.2 million compared to £781.2 million a year ago.
