House of Investments, Inc., an investment holding company, is engaged in the construction and infrastructure, consumer finance, education and information technology, and car dealership business activities primarily in the Philippines. Its Construction and Infrastructure segment operates as a general contractor and trader of construction equipment and parts, as well as provides manpower services; and is involved in the construction, power generation, steel fabrication, real estate, and other activities. The company’s Consumer Finance segment is engaged in general financing and investment businesses. Its Education and Information Technology segment provides various services, such as education, consulting, development, installation, and maintenance of information technology systems. The company’s Car Dealership segment is engaged in the automobile dealership business. It also sells pharmaceutical products; trades in consumer goods; and renders various services to consumers. In addition, the company offers afterlife services, such as memorial lots selling; and owns, operates, and maintains memorial parks, as well as provides mortuary services. Further, it is involved in the provision of property management, project management, and security services. The company was incorporated in 1959 and is based in Makati City, the Philippines. House of Investments, Inc. is a subsidiary of Pan Malayan Management and Investment Corporation.

House of Investments Inc. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2014

House of Investments Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of PHP 6,547,104,199 against PHP 4,517,153,503 a year ago. Income before income tax was PHP 620,815,848 against PHP 952,015,179 a year ago. Net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company was PHP 331,619,294 against PHP 612,653,619 a year ago. For the nine months, the company reported revenues of PHP 16,772,261,158 against PHP 13,584,999,628 a year ago. Income before income tax was PHP 1,516,983,048 against PHP 1,839,672,068 a year ago. Net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company was PHP 798,872,803 against PHP 1,007,382,273 a year ago. Net cash flows provided by operating activities were PHP 972,195,053 against PHP 186,291,958 a year ago. The return on equity is at 10% for the nine months ending September 30, 2014 versus the return on equity of 7% for the full year 2013. The Group is optimistic that return on equity will further increase for the last quarter of the year. Return on asset dropped to 4.43% this quarter compared from 8.54% in December 2014 due to significant increase in costs and estimated earnings in excess of billings on uncompleted contracts.

House of Investments Inc. announced the appointment of Mr. Juan B. Santos, Independent Director, effective October 2, 2014. Mr. Juan B. Santos retired as Chief Executive Officer of-Nestle Philippines Inc. and continued to serve as Chairman of NPI until 2005. Prior to his appointment as President & Chief Executive Officer of NPI, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Nestle Group of Companies in Thailand and Singapore.

Amendment of Article Third of the Articles of Incorporation to specify the principal office address of the Company pursuant to SEC Memorandum Circular No. 6, Series of 2014. Amendment of Manual of Corporate Governance to include 'stakeholders' pursuant to SEC Memorandum Circular No. 9, Series of 2014. Amendment of Article Third, Section 6 of the By-laws, to allow the payment of per diem in such amount as may be approved by the Board of Directors.
