Hill International, Inc. announced that Felipe AndrE IsorE GutiErrez, CIA, CRMA, PMP, has joined the company as Senior Vice President in charge of Hill's Construction Claims Group operations in Latin America. Gutiérrez will be based out of Hill's office in São Paulo, Brazil. Gutiérrez has more than 13 years of experience providing risk and management consulting services and has extensive experience in the delivery of construction risk management and claims advisory, internal audit, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, compliance and assurance services in Brazil, Latin America, South Africa and Australia. Prior to joining Hill, he was a Partner-Director with KPMG where he led their Major Projects Advisory consulting practice in Brazil.

Hill International has received a contract from ACCIONA Parques Reforma Inmobiliaria to provide project and construction management services in connection with the Julián Adame residential development in Santa Fe, Mexico. The three-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $2.0 million. The $100 million development will feature the construction of six residential towers, underground parking, common areas and related facilities. Hill will be providing project management services for the first tower and the common areas with the possibility of an extension for the other five towers. Each 20-story tower will include 480 apartments and have a total of 80,000 square meters (860,000 square feet) of built-up space.

Hill International announced that it has been awarded a contract by New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJ TRANSIT) to provide construction management services on a task order basis. The three-year contract has an estimated value to the company of approximately $3.5 million. NJ TRANSIT has an on-going need for consultant services in various planning and engineering disciplines. The volume of work increases and decreases in response to needs and available funding and, as a result, it is costly and impractical to retain an in-house work force sufficient to meet maximum workloads. Task order contracts also allow retention of specialized expertise that is rarely cost-effective to maintain in-house. Additionally, the availability of task order contracts affords the opportunity to use consultants already pre-qualified for specific work efforts, thus minimizing the time and cost needed to initiate and complete work. Contracting with a limited number of consultants also provides a greater measure of control over the work being performed.
