Home Inns & Hotels Management Inc. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2014; Provides Group Revenue Guidance for the Second Quarter of 2014

Home Inns & Hotels Management Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of RMB 1,472,458,000 compared to total revenues of RMB 1,402,218,000 for the same period a year ago. Net revenues were RMB 1,378,194,000 compared to RMB 1,314,275,000 last year. Income from operations was RMB 42,386,000 compared to RMB 12,087,000 last year. Income before income tax expenses and non-controlling interests was RMB 101,424,000 compared to loss before income tax expenses and non-controlling interests of RMB 2,284,000 last year. Net income attributable to the company’s shareholders was RMB 74,865,000 or RMB 0.05 per diluted share compared to net loss attributable to the company’s shareholders of RMB 19,385,000 or RMB 0.21 per diluted share last year. Non-GAAP income from operations was RMB 69,974,000 compared to RMB 39,155,000 last year. Adjusted net income attributable to the ordinary shareholders was RMB 32,101,000 or RMB 0.34 per basic and diluted share compared to RMB 10,344,000 or RMB 0.11 per basic and diluted share last year. EBITDA (Non-GAAP) was RMB 296,841,000 compared to RMB 187,351,000 last year. Adjusted EBITDA (Non-GAAP) was RMB 254,077,000 compared to RMB 216,121,000 last year. Net operating cash flow for the first quarter of 2014 was RMB 154.9 million, compared to RMB 63.0 million in the same period of 2013. Capitalized expenditures for the first quarter of 2014 were RMB 103.2 million, while related cash paid for capital expenditures during the quarter was RMB 174.8 million. The company expects total revenues for the group in the second quarter of 2014 to be in the range of RMB 1,690 million to RMB 1,710 million.

We have achieved this through our structural transformation to a franchise-focused business, established capability in acquisition and integration, and effective internal product service and productivity development across all brands." "We are confident that we have the right strategy in place. We will continue to execute our franchise and multi-brand development plans and will maintain a sensible expansion pace that will deliver stable unit growth to maintain market leadership, sustainable margin expansion and improvements in profitability and long-term value for our shareholders", David Sun added. May Wu, Chief Strategy Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer of Home Inns & Hotels Management, said, "We do not have anything imminent in the pipeline right now. Our overall plan and strategy is that we will consider small acquisitions similar of the scale -- in scale to Yunshang as part of our regular development plan."
