Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Ltd. reported unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported total income from operations (net) of INR 4,567.7 million compared to INR 5,105.9 million a year ago. Loss from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items was INR 339.0 million compared to profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items of INR 643.7 million a year ago. Loss from ordinary activities before tax was INR 994.7 million compared to profit from ordinary activities before tax of INR 217.5 million a year ago. Net loss was INR 665.5 million or INR 7.62 basic and diluted per share (not annualized) compared to net profit of INR 174.5 million or INR 2.00 basic and diluted per share (not annualized) a year ago. For the nine months period, the company reported total income from operations (net) of INR 13,260.1 million compared to INR 13,679.7 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items was INR 37.1 million compared to INR 1,389.9 million a year ago.
