The company offers navigation systems, radars and air traffic control centers, surveillance systems, satellite navigation products, and airport management solutions. It is also involved in designing, developing, manufacturing, integrating, and supporting interoperable solutions for surveillance, mobility, protection, target acquisition, and engagement of land forces, including missile and armaments systems, optronics sensors, and protected vehicles; and the design of defense mission systems and equipment for aircraft, helicopters, UAV, surface vessels, and submarines, as well as offers operational maintenance services. In addition, the company provides interoperable and secure information and communications systems, such as radio communication products, networks and infrastructure systems, protection systems, critical information systems, and information technology security solutions. Further, it offers satellite and orbital infrastructure solutions; flight avionics systems and equipment, passenger cabin systems, and flight simulators for helicopters and military aircraft; microwave and imaging subsystems; and transportation systems and services for the operation of transport infrastructures, including rail signaling, and control and surveillance systems for urban and mainline transport networks, as well as fare collection and toll services. NATS Holdings Selects Thales Group to Supply New Safety Nets Server

NATS Holdings has selected Thales Group to supply new Safety Nets Server. The technology will be deployed at Swanwick and Prestwick Air Traffic Control Centres, as well as at NATS' Corporate Technical Centre and will be integrated into a fully virtualized environment. Based on the Thales TopSky-Safety Nets system, this innovative technology guarantees earlier conflict detection and a lower nuisance alert rate than standard safety nets.

Thales Announces Supply of AVANT System for Royal Jordanian's B787-8

Thales Group announced the supply of Thales AVANT system for new B787-8 of Royal Jordanian Airlines. The system will offer some of the large screens on the market and a host of new functionalities. AVANT's Android based open platform allows for easier content refresh, and aligned to Royal Jordanian's strategy to provide best in class programming to passengers. With this milestone, Royal Jordanian Airlines becomes the first to take delivery of Thales's latest generation system for the Boeing 787-8. The system offers passengers some of the large in-flight entertainment seat back screens on the market, 17" in Crown (premium) and 10.6" touchscreens in Economy. The inaugural commercial flight started between Amman and London, Heathrow. The second B787 aircraft is to join the fleet in late September. Another three will follow during October, November and December with the remainder being introduced to the fleet over the next few years.

Thales Group appointed Regis Turrini as a Director succeeding David Azema. Regis Turrini's term as director will run until the end of the annual general meeting called to approve the 2015 financial statements. Appointed to head the State Shareholdings Agency (APE) on 30 July 2014, Regis Turrini is a former attorney admitted to the Paris bar. Until July 2014, Regis Turrini was Senior Executive vice president for Strategy and Development at Vivendi.
