For the year, the company reported profit attributable to owners of the company of HKD 186,523,000 or 40.1 cents per diluted share on turnover of HKD 1,781,635,000 compared to profit attributable to owners of the company of HKD 134,274,000 or 29.0 cents per diluted share on turnover of HKD 1,611,013,000 for the last year. Profit before tax was HKD 268,156,000 compared to HKD 185,099,000 for the last year. The Board of Directors has decided to recommend the payment of a final dividend of 9 cents per share for the year ended 31 December 2012 compared to 5.5 cents per share in 2011. Including the interim dividend of 3.5 cents per share paid on 26 September 2012, the total dividend for the year ended 31 December 2012 will amount to 12.5 cents per share compared to 9 cents per share in 2011. The proposed final dividend will be distributed, and the share certificates issued under the scrip dividend scheme will be sent on or about 15 July 2013 to the Shareholders whose names appear on the register of members of the company on 31 May 2013 (‘the Record Date for Dividend’).
