Romande Energie Holding SA reported consolidated operating and earnings results for the full year ended December 31, 2012. For the period, the company's net revenues fell by CHF 11 million decrease of 1.8% to CHF 579.412 million in 2012, compared with CHF 590.165 million for the 2011 financial year. This was due chiefly to a cut in fees charged on regional grid usage decrease of 5% on average, for all customers, coupled with a lower volumes of electricity sold to companies. EBITDA edged up by 0.7% to CHF 121.594 million on the back of a solid operating performance at the group. EBIT rose by 93% to CHF 67.789 million relative to 2011. Consolidated net income was CHF 278.211 million against CHF 235.180 million a year ago. For the period, the company's power distributed on the group's grid 2,856 GWh against 2,777 GWh a year ago. Power sold to end-customers was 2,780 GWh against 2,831 GWh a year ago. The board of directors is proposing payment of an ordinary dividend of CHF 27 per share, an increase of 8% relative to the 2011 financial year. It will seek approval for this proposal at the General Meeting of Shareholders of the company, to be held in Morges, Switzerland, on May 27, 2013.
