Hiap Tong Corporation Ltd. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2012. For the period, revenue was SGD 17,966,000 against SGD 13,464,000 a year ago. Results from operating activities were SGD 4,369,000 against SGD 2,933,000 a year ago. Profit before income tax was SGD 3,595,000 against SGD 2,684,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was SGD 3,123,000 or 1.26 cents per basic and diluted share against SGD 2,167,000 or 0.87 cents per basic and diluted share a year ago. Cash flows from operating activities were SGD 6,719,000 against SGD 6,328,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was SGD 11,236,000 against SGD 3,425,000 a year ago.

Hiap Tong Corporation Ltd. announced that the Scrip dividend Scheme will be applicable to the first and final one-tier tax exempt dividend of 0.5 cents per ordinary share of the company in respect of the financial year ended March 31, 2012, which was approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on July 27, 2012. The dividend will be payable on or around September 25, 2012. The register of members and share transfer books of the company will be closed on August 13, 2012 for the purpose of determining shareholders' entitlements to the Dividend.
