Hudson Valley Holding Corp. operates as the bank holding company for Hudson Valley Bank, N.A. that provides banking and related services to businesses, professionals, municipalities, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals in New York. The company offers various deposit products, including non-interest bearing demand deposit, checking with interest, money market, and savings accounts, as well as various forms of time deposits. It also provides a range of loans that comprise commercial real estate loans; construction loans secured by land for residential and commercial development; residential real estate loans, including 1-4 family residential mortgages, multi-family residential loans, and home equity line of credit products; commercial business loans, and lines of credit; installment loans and reserve lines of credit; and lease financing principally for office equipment, telephone systems, computer systems, energy saving improvements, and other special use equipment. In addition, the company offers investment management and broker-dealer services. Further, it provides a software application to meet the specific administrative needs of bankruptcy trustees through a marketing and licensing agreement with the application vendor. As of April 2, 2014, it operated 28 branches. Hudson Valley Holding Corp. was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Yonkers, New York.

Hudson Valley Holding Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company's total interest income was $22.835 million against $22.681 million a year ago. Net interest income was $21.729 million against $21.246 million a year ago. Income before income taxes was $2.340 million against $5.380 million a year ago. Net income was $1.602 million or $0.08 per basic and diluted share against $3.651 million or $0.18 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Return on average equity was 2.23% against 5.02% a year ago.
