Apple and IBM Announce New Suite of IBM Mobilefirst for iOS Solutions

Apple and International Business Machines Corporation, or IBM, have announced a new suite of IBM MobileFirst for iOS solutions in a new class of made-for-business apps and supporting cloud services that bring IBM's big data and analytics capabilities to iPhone and iPad users in the enterprise. IBM MobileFirst for iOS solutions are now available to enterprise customers in banking, retail, insurance, financial services, telecommunications and for governments and airlines. To supplement the IBM MobileFirst for iOS apps, the partnership between Apple and IBM offers business customers additional levels of capability integrated for enterprise mobility, including: mobile platform and enterprise integration; supply, activate and manage; and AppleCare for the Enterprise. Leveraging IBM's global industry consulting expertise, client experience design and enterprise systems integration from analytics, workflow and cloud storage, to fleet-scale device management, security and integration. Enhanced mobile management includes a private app catalog, data and transaction security services, and productivity suite for all IBM MobileFirst for iOS solutions. In addition to on-premise software solutions, all these services will be available on Bluemix-IBM's development platform on the IBM Cloud Marketplace. Streamlined end-to-end procurement, deployment and lifecycle management - at scale; along with cloud solutions for enterprise security, device management, and data and process integration. IBM Global Financing leasing options and services to allow organizations to keep pace with latest device releases. AppleCare for the Enterprise is providing IT departments an d end users with 24/7 assistance for their devices from Apple's award-winning customer support group, with on-site service delivered by IBM.

International Business Machines Corporation Signs $1.25 Billion Services Contract with WPP

International Business Machines Corporation has signed a seven-year, $1.25 billion services contract with WPP under which IBM will transform and manage WPP's global technology platform. The agreement will enable WPP to innovate new digital services that will be run and managed within a global hybrid cloud infrastructure. As part of the agreement, IBM will provide a service delivery and technology platform that allows WPP to integrate its operations while delivering significantly improved productivity. The new flexible hybrid cloud infrastructure will enable the company to: expand the use of big data and analytics to drive decision making and amplify the creative process; continue to build its leadership in a digital and mobile world; enhance its ability to more quickly deploy new products and services; and foster greater horizontal communication and collaboration across its multiple brands.

International Business Machines Corporation Enters into New Multi-Year Services Agreement with Thomson Reuters

International Business Machines Corporation has entered into a new multi-year services agreement to provide IT services to employees at Thomson Reuters. IBM will help Thomson Reuters deliver internal-facing IT support services that enable its increasingly mobile workforce to take full advantage of enterprise technology resources to anticipate and address opportunities in fast-changing global markets.
