The company operates in two segments, Imperva and Incapsula. Its SecureSphere platform provides database, file, and Web application security in various data centers, including on-premise data centers, as well as private, public, and hybrid cloud computing environments. The company also offers cloud-based services, such as Web application firewall (WAF), content delivery optimization, distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack prevention, and load balancing services. In addition, it provides DDos Protection Service for SecureSphere, a cloud-based security service that safeguards businesses from the DDoS attacks; ThreatRadar Reputation Services, a subscription service that recognizes attack sources and adjusts Web security policies; ThreatRadarFraud Prevention Services, a service used to enable organizations to provide and manage fraud detection solutions; and Skyfence, which protects internal corporate applications, such as employee- and back office-oriented applications. Further, the company offers Security Operations Center, a cloud-based service that configures provisions, manages, and monitors the SecureSphere WAF appliance in the hosting partners’ data centers; provides maintenance updates, patch management, and backups; and delivers daily or weekly reports, real-time alerts, and incident responses for suspicious activities. Additionally, it provides maintenance and support, as well as professional and training services. The company offers its products and services to banks, retailers, insurers, technology and telecommunication companies, and hospitals; and the United States, as well as national, state, and local government agencies through a network of distributors and resellers worldwide. Imperva, Inc. was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Redwood Shores, California.

Imperva Inc. announced that Kim DeCarlis has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Imperva Inc. Appoints Michael D. Mooney as Chief Revenue Officer

Imperva Inc. announced the appointment of Michael D. Mooney to the new role of Chief Revenue Officer. Mooney will have oversight of the company’s worldwide sales, maintenance and renewal teams. Mooney brings to this role over 25 years of experience leading and building high performance enterprise sales, systems engineering, business development, corporate development, and operations organizations to maximize revenue delivery, growth, and market penetration. He joins the company from HP Autonomy, where he was based out of the company's San Francisco, California office. He started his tenure at Autonomy as Senior Vice President of Americas Field Operations, a role he held from 2006 through 2012, a year after the HP acquisition. Most recently, Mooney was responsible for Information Analytics and Big Data revenue, as well as for OEM and Federal revenue across all Autonomy divisions. Other responsibilities during his time with HP Autonomy included leading strategic sales initiatives focused on the company's next-generation information platform (IDOL); driving worldwide Data Protection sales, Autonomy's large revenue-contributing product set; and leading the Americas revenue, sales and channel organizations. Prior to his VP roles at Autonomy, Mooney was Senior Vice President of Americas Field Operations with Verity from 2000 to 2005. Before Verity, Mooney was Vice President of Sales for Adaptive Media; Vice President of Western Sales for Versant; and held sales and sales management roles for Alantec and CMC.
