Innoprise Plantations Bhd Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2014

Innoprise Plantations Bhd announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 13,510,000 against MYR 9,433,000 a year ago. Operating profit was MYR 2,101,000 against MYR 3,129,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 2,077,000 against MYR 3,113,000 a year ago. Profit for the period attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR 1,548,000 or 0.80 per diluted share against MYR 2,667,000 or 1.38 per diluted share a year ago. The increase in turnover for the current quarter and year-to-date were mainly attributable to the increased in production of FFB as more planted area come into maturity and also higher average selling price of FFB. Despite lower profit before tax for the current quarter, the Group posted higher profit before tax for nine-month results. This is mainly attributable to the increased in production of FFB as well as the higher FFB selling price. For the nine months, the company reported revenue of MYR 43,634,000 against MYR 20,732,000 a year ago. Operating profit was MYR 10,328,000 against MYR 1,203,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 10,260,000 against MYR 1,181,000 a year ago. Profit for the period attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR 7,693,000 or 4.01 per diluted share against MYR 735,000 or 0.38 per diluted share a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was MYR 3,752,000 against MYR 11,372,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 37,973,000 against MYR 27,822,000 a year ago. Plantation development expenditure was MYR 13,661,000 against MYR 21,173,000 a year ago. The increase in turnover for the current quarter and year-to-date were mainly attributable to the increased in production of FFB as more planted area come into maturity and also higher average selling price of FFB. Despite lower profit before tax for the current quarter, the Group posted higher profit before tax for nine-month results. This is mainly attributable to the increased in production of FFB as well as the higher FFB selling price.
