Interphase Corporation provides connectivity, interworking, and packet processing solutions in the Pacific Rim, North America, and Europe. The company’s network connectivity products include T1/E1 communication controllers that primarily support SS7 signaling, OC-3/STM-1 asynchronous transfer mode network interface cards (NICs), and Ethernet NICs; interworking products comprise OC-3/STM-1 interworking modules, and broadband access gateway and media converters; and multi-core packet processors consist of Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) and 10 GigE packet processors. It also provides penveu, a handheld device that adds interactivity to the installed base of projectors and large screen displays, making any flat surface, from pull down screens to HDTVs for education and enterprise markets. In addition, the company offers engineering design services, such as specifications gathering; program management; detailed electrical, mechanical, and thermal design; rapid prototyping; and manufacturability and testability design, product design verification testing, product certification, and production test development services. Further, it offers electronics manufacturing services comprising supply chain management, branding and control, production assembly, integration, testing and delivery, and inventory management and logistics services. Interphase Corporation sells its network connectivity, interworking, and multi-core packet processor products to telecom equipment manufacturers for inclusion into telecommunications and networking infrastructure solutions designed for use in wireless carrier networks; and enterprise products to server manufacturers for integration into server platforms for delivery of application platforms for enterprise networking. The company markets its products through its direct sales force, manufacturers’ representatives, value-added distributors, and Web and social media tools. Interphase Corporation was founded in 1974 and is headquartered in Plano, Texas.
