International Rectifier announced the company will showcase its latest power management solutions at the TECHNO-FRONTIER exhibition which is being held at the Tokyo Big Sight, Japan from July 17-19, 2013. Located at Booth 1G-105, East Hall, IR will feature a wide range of innovative products and platforms including the company's latest PowIRaudio(TM) family of power modules for high performance home theater systems and car audio Class D amplifiers. Additionally, IR's uIPM(TM) power modules for high efficiency appliance and light industrial applications, Gen8 IGBT platform for motor control and the latest solutions for automotive applications will be featured. International Rectifier Corporation introduced a family of rugged 1200V ultra-fast insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) optimized for industrial motor drive and UPS systems. The new devices leverage IR's field stop trench ultra-thin wafer technology that delivers lower conduction and switching losses. Co-packaged with a soft recovery low Qrr diode and featuring a 10us minimum short circuit time rating, the devices are optimized for rugged industrial applications. The packaged devices cover a broad current range from 10-50A. Other key performance benefits include Tjmax of 175degC, positive VCE(on) temperature coefficient for easy paralleling and low VCE(on) to reduce power dissipation and achieve higher power density. Die products are also available. Pricing for the IRG7PH37K10D begins at $3.85 each respectively in 10,000-unit quantities. Production orders are available immediately.

International Rectifier Corporation introduced the IRS44273L low-side gate drive IC offering high drive capability in a highly compact SOT-23-5L package. The IRS44273L is easy to use and provides a simple solution for IGBT and MOSFET gate drive, offering 1.5A (typical) sink and source capability, fast switching performance and integrated under-voltage lockout protection with minimal board space requirements. This new device offers functionality previously only available in larger packages such as an SO-8, enabling more compact and economical system design. The new IRS44273L offers the available drive current for a low-side driver in an SOT-23-5L package enabling designers to use it in place of larger SO-8 devices to significantly reduce solution size. The IRS44273L has two output pins on either side of the package to simplify system design by offering layout flexibility.
