Isagen S.a. E.s.p. reported earnings results for the first quarter ended March 2013. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of $494,864 million. Revenue in the first quarter of the year was up 17% compared with that in the same period last year, mainly due to revenue from energy sales to Venezuela; in the first quarter of the year, energy transfers to neighboring country through the CorozoSan Mateo Circuit and the CuestecitasCuatricentenario Circuit were 200.3 GWh, almost half the amount transferred in all 2012; (ii) better delivery of the Automatic Generation Control Service (AGC); and (iii) energy sales on the spot market. Net profit reported was $110,891 million. In the first quarter of 2013, electricity generated by ISAGEN decreased by 2% in comparison to that recorded for the same period in the previous year. The third large energy generator in the country is currently building power plants energy required for the country's development. Its current expansion plan includes the construction of the Manso diversion, and the Amoyá and Sogamoso hydroelectric plants (80 MW and 820 MW respectively). in the first quarter of 2013.million. Operating profit was COP 127,625 million. Profit before taxes was COP 137,269 million. Net profit was COP 139,034 million. EBITDA was COP 154,596 million against COP 169,476 million a year ago.
