This segment provides analysis on various aspects of technology, including hardware, software and systems, services, IT management, market data and forecasts, and vertical-industry issues. This segment delivers its IT research and insight primarily through a subscription-based digital media service. The Consulting segment offers consulting, measurement engagements, and strategic advisory services, as well as proprietary tools for measuring and improving IT performance. This segment provides solutions to CIOs and other IT executives; targeted consulting services to professionals in specific industries; and actionable solutions for IT cost optimization, technology modernization, and IT sourcing optimization initiatives. The Events segment provides IT, supply chain, and business professionals the opportunity to attend various symposia, conferences, and exhibitions to learn, contribute, and network with their peers. This segment focuses on specific topics, technologies, and industries providing IT professionals with the insight, solutions, and networking opportunities, as well as offers targeted events for CIOs and IT executives. Gartner, Inc. was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut.

Gartner Inc. Announces Executive Changes

Gartner Inc. announced that Chris Lafond, Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the company on June 30 to pursue other opportunities. Gartner's Chief Executive Officer Gene Hall said that Craig Safian, Gartner group vice president of global finance, has been named senior vice president and Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. Mr. Safian has worked in public accounting and has held finance leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Headstrong.

Gartner, Inc. to Expand in Fort Myers

Gartner Inc. will expand in Fort Myers. Gartner will add 400 jobs and a capital investment of $28 million by the end of 2019. This is the company's second expansion since 2012. As part of the project, CareerSource Florida has offered Gartner Inc. performance-based partial reimbursement grants for employee training through the Quick Response Training (QRT) program. QRT grants are structured to be flexible and responsive to the training needs of new or expanding businesses.
