The company operates through four segments: Consumer & Community Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank, Commercial Banking, and Asset Management. The Consumer & Community Banking segment offers deposit and investment products and services to consumers; lending, deposit, and cash management and payment solutions to small businesses; and residential mortgages and home equity loans, as well as provides credit cards, payment services, payment processing services, and auto and student loans. The Corporate & Investment Bank segment provides investment banking, market-making, prime brokerage, and treasury and securities products and services to corporations, investors, financial institutions, and government and municipal entities. The Commercial Banking segment offers financial solutions, including lending, treasury, investment banking, and asset management services to corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and non profit entities, as well as financing to real estate investors and owners. The Asset Management segment provides investment and wealth management services across various asset classes, such as equities, fixed income, alternatives, and money market funds; multi-asset investment management services; retirement products and services; and brokerage and banking services comprising trusts and estates, loans, mortgages, and deposits. The company was founded in 1799 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

JPMorgan Reportedly In Advance Stage To Sell One Equity Stake

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) is in advanced discussions with Lexington Partners, LLC and AlpInvest Partners B.V. to sell them half of the roughly $4.5 billion in investments of One Equity Partners LLC, according to people familiar with the matter. As part of the deal, they said, the buyers may commit cash to One Equity’s next buyout fund. J.P. Morgan doesn’t plan to invest in that fund or any future One Equity funds, people familiar with the matter have said. It is no clear exactly how much the buyers would pay for the investment portfolio, or whether other investors may join the buyers. According to Reuters, representatives for JPMorgan and Lexington Partners were unavailable for comment and a spokesperson for Carlyle Group declined to comment.

Grupo Villar, EDP and funds eye E.ON's Spanish Assets

Grupo Villar Mir, S.A. Energias de Portugal Investments and Services, Sociedad Limitada and five investment funds are among the potential buyers for E.ON España, S.L., Expansion reported. The Spanish paper named the funds The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX), Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (NYSE:KKR), Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX:BAM.A) and the infrastructure arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM), citing market sources. E.ON has hired Citi to advise it on the sale of the assets, three people familiar with the matter told Reuters in April 2014.
