JSR Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and sale of fine chemicals, synthetic rubber, emulsions, and plastics in Japan and internationally. The company operates in three segments: Fine Chemicals and Other Products, Elastomers, and Plastics. The Fine Chemicals and Other Products segment provides semiconductor materials, including lithography materials, chemical mechanical planarization materials, interconnect materials, and packaging materials; flat panel display materials, such as liquid crystal display materials and anti-reflective coatings; heat-resistant transparent resins, optical films, transparent conductive films; lithium-ion capacitors cells and modules; and standard particles, particles for clinical diagnostics, research agents, and magnetic particles. This segment also offers performance chemicals, such as high-functional dispersants, organic/inorganic hybrid coating materials, battery materials, and thermal magnetic materials; and UV curing optical fiber coatings. The Elastomers segment offers general-purpose synthetic rubbers, including styrene-butadiene rubber and poly-butadiene rubber; special purpose synthetic rubbers, such as nitrile, butyl, and ethylene-propylene rubber; thermoplastic elastomers that include syndiotactic 1,2-poly-butadiene, hydrogenated polymers, styrene-butadiene thermoplastic elastomers, and styrene-isoprene thermoplastic elastomers; and emulsion products, including such as paper coating latex, SB latex, and acrylic emulsions. The Plastics segment offers acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene plastics, acrylonitrile-ethylene-propylene-styrene plastics, and bioplastics. The company was formerly known as Japan Synthetic Rubber Co., Ltd. and changed its name to JSR Corporation in December 1997. JSR Corporation was founded in 1957 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

For the first half year of fiscal 2014, the company expects net sales of ¥195,000 million, operating income of ¥18,500 million, ordinary income of ¥20,500 million and net income of ¥13,500 million or ¥56.85 per share. For the full year ending March 31, 2014, the company expects net sales of ¥415,000 million, operating income of ¥43,000 million, ordinary income of ¥47,000 million and net income of ¥31,500 million or ¥132.66 per share. For full year, the company declared dividend of ¥34.00 per share compared to ¥32.00 per share a year ago. For term end, the company declared dividend of ¥17.00 per share compared to ¥16.00 per share a year ago. The dividend will be payable on June 24, 2013.
