This segment also offers specialty consulting services for ship and semi-submersible hulls; and licenses process technologies for oil and gas, refining, chemicals, petrochemical, biofuels, fertilizers, coal gasification, and syngas markets. The company’s Infrastructure, Government & Power segment designs and executes aviation, road, rail, maritime, water, wastewater, building, and pipeline projects for industrial, commercial, defense, and governmental agencies. This segment also offers front-end engineering design (FEED), pre-FEED, and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to heavy industrial and advanced manufacturing clients, as well as EPC services for power market. Its Services segment provides module assembly, fabrication and maintenance, commissioning/startup, and turnaround services for the oil and gas, petrochemicals processing, mining, power, alternate energy, pulp and paper, industrial and manufacturing, and consumer product industries. This segment also offers global maintenance, on-call construction, turnaround, and specialty services, as well as commercial general contractor services for education, food and beverage, manufacturing, health care, hospitality and entertainment, life science and technology, and mixed-use building clients. The company’s Other segment includes the ventures business that invests in defense equipment and housing, toll roads, and petrochemicals projects. KBR, Inc. was founded in 1901 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

KBR Wins Major Engineering Design Contract by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Limited for the Al-Nasr Full Field Development Project

KBR, Inc. announced that it has received a letter of award from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Limited to perform engineering design services for the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company Al-Nasr Full Field Development project, located offshore Abu Dhabi. Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide engineering design and support services for the entire Al-Nasr Package 2 scope with the services provided by KBR's office in Singapore and supported by other KBR offices. The KBR Singapore office has more than 40 years of experience in providing engineering services for the offshore oil and gas industry worldwide. The Al-Nasr Package 2 facilities consist of a multi-platform super complex that includes central processing facilities, accommodation, utilities, flares, bridges and power distribution. The Al-Nasr offshore oil field is located approximately 80 miles northwest of Abu Dhabi in the Arabian Gulf.

KBR and Services Employees International, Inc. Wins Class Action Arbitration

KBR announced that the company and its affiliate, Services Employees International, Inc., won a class action arbitration alleging that the company had underpaid thousands of truck drivers supporting the military effort in Iraq. The ruling, issued by Arbitrator Michael Loeb, Esq, acknowledges KBR routinely, and properly, enforced its written timekeeping policy whereby employees "record all time worked, and work all time recorded. The arbitration was filed in November 2007, and Arbitrator Loeb certified a class of approximately 7,000 current and former truck drivers in 2011. The plaintiffs alleged that between 2003 and 2010, KBR maintained a policy to deny truck drivers stationed in Iraq compensation for all overtime hours worked. The arbitration hearing took place in September and October of last year with closing arguments in February of this year.

KBR, Inc. Wins Contract for Base Support for Isa Air Base, Bahran

KBR, Inc. announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic for the base operating support services for Isa Air Base, Kingdom of Bahrain. Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide base operating support services to include all management, supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform services for general information, management and administration, galley operations, housing facility support, wastewater, water and base support vehicles and equipment, and environmental for the base and its surrounding support sites. KBR was previously awarded a support contract in Bahrain under LOGCAP IV. The contract is for a one year base period with four option years. Included in the second quarter of 2014 backlog will be the undisclosed funded portion of the base year contract. The total value of the five-year contract, including options, will be $113,824,554 for the Infrastructure, Government and Power segment.
