Kelly Services, Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 29, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue from services of $1,410.5 million compared to $1,366.9 million a year ago. Earnings from operations were $5.9 million compared to $16.4 million a year ago. Earnings before taxes were $5.6 million compared to $14.8 million a year ago. Net earnings were $2.8 million or $0.07 per basic and diluted share compared to $10 million or $0.26 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Adjusted earnings from operations were $7.7 million compared to $18.9 million a year ago. Adjusted earnings before taxes were $7.4 million compared to $17.3 million a year ago. Adjusted net earnings were $4 million or $0.10 per basic and diluted share compared to $12.5 million or $0.33 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Included in the results of operations in the second quarter of 2014 are restructuring charges of $1.8 million. For the six months, the company reported revenue from services of $2,741.3 million compared to $2,681.7 million a year ago. Earnings from operations were $12.2 million compared to $23.5 million a year ago. Earnings before taxes were $10.2 million compared to $20.9 million a year ago.
