KKR Reportedly Plans To Sell Its Stake In Bharti Infratel

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (NYSE:KKR) is reportedly planning to sell its 2.38% stake in Bharti Infratel Limited (BSE:534816) for $230 million. "It will be via block trades on the stock exchanges. KKR has already called for pitches from investment banks such as Morgan Stanley, UBS and Citigroup," a person with direct knowledge of the development said. "The intention is to launch it this week, but depends on a lot of variables, so it's not set in stone." "KKR has not made much money during the tenure. But since its investment tenure is coming to an end, it wanted to exit at least close to cost," said a banker in the know. "It has got an opportunity as the Bharti Infratel stock has raised sharply in recent times." Economic times reported that KKR and Bharti Infratel declined to comment. Morgan Stanley, UBS and Citigroup didn't respond to calls.

Blackstone Group Reportedly Seeks Buyer For CMS Info Systems

The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX) is reportedly seeking buyer for its majority stake in CMS Info Systems Pvt. Ltd. The Carlyle Group LP (NasdaqGS:CG) and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (NYSE:KKR) are considering offers for the stake, which could be valued at $400 million. CMS Info System has also drawn interest from Apax Partners LLP, Bain Capital, LLC and Warburg Pincus LLC. The first round bids are due by the end of September 2014, and the minority shareholders of CMS Info Systems are also interested in selling their stake.

Weststar Aviation Reportedly Mulls IPO

Weststar Aviation Services Sdn Bhd, a firm partly owned by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (NYSE:KKR), is seeking to raise $300-$600 million from an initial public offering ('IPO') in Malaysia, people familiar with the matter said. Weststar Aviation began inviting bankers to pitch to underwrite its IPO, one of the people said. Banks are due to submit their proposals to the company in early October 2014. Weststar Aviation is planning to list some time in 2015. Weststar didn't immediately comment on the IPO plan, and KKR declined to comment.
