It offers piling and earth retention systems, including diaphragm walls and marine piles that help in the installation of structural elements to transfer foundation loads through weak soils to stronger underlying ground; specialty grouting services, which strengthen target areas in the ground and control ground water flow through rocks and soils by reducing their permeability; and anchors, soil nails, and minipiles that are used to underpin or stabilize buildings, slopes, and embankments. The company also offers ground improvement services to prepare the ground for new construction projects and to reduce the risk of liquefaction in areas of seismic activity; and post-tension cable systems to reinforce concrete foundations and structural spans. It offers its services for use in infrastructure, industrial, commercial, residential, and environmental projects in the construction sector. The company was founded in 1860 and is based in London, the United Kingdom.

Keller Group plc Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2013; Recommends Final Dividend for 2013 Payable on June 13, 2014

Keller Group plc reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2013. Group revenue rose by 9% to £1,438.2 million against £1,317.5 million a year ago. Stripping out the effects of acquisitions and foreign exchange movements, the group's revenue was up by 2%.  The operating profit increased to £77.8 million, compared with £48.3 million in the previous year.  Profit before tax increased to £74.1 million against £43.5 million for the same period in the last year. Earnings per basic share were 73.0 pence against 42.6 pence for the same period in the last year. Earnings per diluted share were 71.9 pence against 42.6 pence for the same period in the last year. Profit attributable to equity holders of the parent was £49.5 million against £29.5 million for the same period in the last year. Net cash inflow from operating activities was £105.1 million against £93.1 million for the same period in the last year. Net capital expenditure was £42.6 million against £32.7 million for the same period in the last year. At December 31, 2013, net debt amounted to £143.7 million against £51.2 million at December 31, 2012. EBITDA was £124.2 million against £91.9 million for the same period in the last year. In light of these improved results and the Board's confidence in the group's prospects, the Board has decided to recommended a final dividend of 16.0 pence per share representing £11.3 million, against 15.2 pence per share for 2012, to be paid on 13 June 2014 to shareholders on the register at 6 June 2014. Together with the interim dividend paid of 8.0 pence per share, this brings the total dividend per share for the year to 24.0 pence per share against 22.8 pence per share, an increase of 5%. The proposed dividend is subject to approval by shareholders at the AGM on 22 May 2014 and has not been included as a liability in these financial statements.
