kibaran resources ltd (KNL) Key Developments

Kibaran Resources Limited Reports Results from the Recent Reverse Circulation Drill Programme at Epanko Deposit With in the Mahenge Graphite Project in Tanzania

Kibaran Resources Limited report that the latest results from the recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drill programme at its Epanko deposit within the Mahenge Graphite Project in Tanzania have returned the best graphite intersections to date. All drill holes intersected high-grade, premium large flake graphite mineralisation, with the majority encountering graphite mineralisation from surface to the end of hole. The Epanko graphite mineralisation still remains open at depth and in all directions. Work is well underway to upgrade the existing JORC Inferred Mineral Resource [14.9Mt at 10.5% Total Graphitic Carbon (TGC) for 1,560,000t of contained graphite], to an Indicated/Measured category, with a substantial increase likely. The resource estimation work is running in parallel to ongoing development studies and Kibaran is now fast tracking this work to a development decision. Standout RC drill results include: 43m at 8.6% TGC from 3m (MHRC040), including; 13m at 10.0% TGC 17m at 9.1% TGC from 4m (MHRC042); 39m at 11.3% TGC from 2m (MHRC048), including; 12m at 14.5% TGC; 6m at 15.5% TGC; 40m at 9.2% TGC from 8m (MHRC050), including; 13m at 11.4% TGC; 22m at 13.4% TGC from 14m (MHRC052), including; 7m at 20.1% TGC.

Kibaran Resources Limited Announces Binding Agreement for Graphite & Graphene 3D Printing Research

Kibaran Resources Limited formalised and signed a binding strategic alliance agreement with 3D Group Pty Ltd. to jointly establish research and development company 3D Graphtech Industries Pty Ltd. 3D Graphtech Industries jointly owned on a 50/50 basis will be responsible for pursuing patents and collabor ative partnerships that investigate the application of graphite and graphene in 3D printing. Graphite for the R&D program will be sourced exclusively from Kibaran's projects in Tanzania. Under the agreement, Kibaran and 3D Group will jointly fund 3D Graphtec Industries. The 3D printing industry is evolving rapidly, with accelerating technological development forecast to drive the market value from the current $3.8 billion to $16.2 billion by 2018. In particular, graphene is projected to revolutionise the 3D printing process due to its unique one-atom thick structure coupled with its strength, flexibility and ability to conduct electricity better than traditional metals such as copper. Kibaran is developing its Mahenge and Merelani graphite deposits in Tanzania, with the aim of becoming a stable and secure supplier of natural flake graphite. Key attributes of the Company's mineralisation are a very coarse flake size, with high crystallinity and purity of +99.9% carbon, all of which are well suited for the production of graphene.

Kibaran Resources Limited Announces Metallurgical Tests Yield Ultra-High Purity

Kibaran Resources Limited reported that recent metallurgical testwork has yielded results exceeding 99.9% carbon from a simple one-step process after flotation. The ultra-high purity carbon was produced from a graphite sample taken from the Company's Epanko deposit at its Mahenge Project in Tanzania. The testwork was undertaken at NGS Naturgraphit GmbH. The testwork was overseen by the company's graphite trader under the partnership and sales arrangement. Ultra high purity can be reached easily in a single one step process. Importantly, extremely low impurities are recorded confirming that there is no limitation on the application and uses of Epanko flake graphite. The test results indicate that the high purity flake graphite produced from Epanko concentrates is suitable for the production of spherical graphite for Li-Ion-batteries.
