GLeni Gas & Oil PLC Announces Drilling Updates for Well GY-669

Leni Gas & Oil PLC announced that well GY-669, the sixth of its planned 30 new development wells at the Goudron Field in Trinidad, and the first well from the third drill pad, has been successfully drilled to a depth 2,390 feet measured depth ('MD'). Based on independent petrophysical analysis of the electric logging the well intersected 227 feet of net oil pay in the Goudron Sandstones. The well is currently drilling ahead in the Gros Morne formation. The well has been cased to a depth 2,294 feet MD in order to isolate the Goudron Sandstone and a number of thin high pressure gas intervals in the Upper Gros Morne. The well is now drilling ahead to the primary Gros Morne Sandstone oil target which is expected at approximately 2,500 feet MD. Well GY-669 has a planned total depth ('TD') of 3,926 feet measure depth ('MD') (equivalent to 3,800 feet TVD) in the Lower Cruse at a bottom-hole location that is approximately 360 feet north of the surface location. Once TD is reached the well will be logged and cased ready for completion as a production well.

Leni Gas & Oil PLC Provides Drilling Update, Trinidad

Leni Gas & Oil PLC announced that it has now spudded the sixth well, GY-669, in its 30 well re-development of the Goudron Field in Trinidad. Four wells will be drilled and completed from this drilling pad and resulting production will be on-stream by end 2014. The GY-669 well is currently drilling ahead in the Goudron Sandstone formation. This drill site designated Pad-3 is located approximately 1,500 feet southeast from Pad-2 and 2,000 feet from Pad-1. Pad-3 will be used to drill a total of four new wells, three wells (GY-669, GY-670 and GY-671) are targeting the primary Gros Morne Sandstone reservoir that has proven to be prolific in the recent wells. Well GY-669 will also test the deeper Lower Cruse Sandstone that has recently been completed successfully in GY-667 with encouraging production results. The final well, GY-672, will be primarily a Goudron Sandstone well across a known fault to tap reserves in a previously successful, but under-drilled, portion of the field. Well GY-669, being drilled with Well Services Rig-20, has an anticipated total depth of 3,925 feet measured depth at a location approximately 400 feet north of the surface location. Total net pay in the well is expected to be in the range 250 to 300 feet.

Leni Gas & Oil PLC Announces Goudron Field Update

Leni Gas & Oil PLC announced that well GY-667 at the Goudron Field in Trinidad has undergone a series of initial production tests after perforating a 44-foot interval in the Lower Cruse Sandstones resulting in a calculated open-hole flow rate of 540 barrels of oil per day. The well is presently producing 40 degree API gravity water-free oil at a rate of 142 bopd through a 7/32-inch choke with a well-head flowing pressure of 420 psi. Higher rates up to over 220 bopd have been successfully tested, however, temporary field-wide production constraints are in place until the additional sales capacity is on-stream in the next week. The shallower primary Gros Morne reservoir in GY-667, with 219 feet of net oil pay, will be completed for production at a later date. In addition, LGO confirms that initial production tests have been conducted on GY-666 and GY-668 resulting in a calculated open-hole flow rates of 300 bopd and 330 bopd respectively. Further clean-up work is required on these two wells to optimize flow rates. These wells are currently producing oil with trace water at 34.5 and 29 degree API respectively. Further optimization work will be performed after the new 2,000 barrel sales tank is commissioned. LGO has now completed the first five of its planned 30 well initial redevelopment at Goudron and the next well, GY-669, is expected to spud imminently.
