Lakes Oil N.L., together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in investing and exploring hydrocarbon properties in Australia and the United States. The company holds a 75% interest in the PEP166 permit, 100% interest in the PRL2 permit, and 100% interest in the PRL 3 permit located in the onshore Gippsland basin, Victoria; and a 100% interest in the PEP 163 permit and 49% interest in the PEP 169 permit located in the onshore Otway basin, Victoria. It also holds a 17.97% working interest in the Eagle prospect located in the San Joaquin Basin, California. In addition, the company has three coal exploration leases, including EL5333, EL5334, and EL5394 in the onshore Gippsland Basin. The company is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Lakes Oil Nl Signs a Letter of Intent to Supply Victorian Gas to Simplot Australia

Lakes Oil Nl announced that it has signed a letter of intent to supply Victorian gas to Simplot Australia. This letter of intent relates to one of two foundation agreements that Lakes is signing with Victorian industry and will be for periods of ten years. Simplot has chosen Lakes' gas because of its Victorian locations, commercial benefits and the very low Co2 (less than 1%), compared with other sources of gas in Australia which can contain up to 25% Co2. Simplots' operations are spread across Australia. This contract is at an attractive price, designed for Victorian gas to provide jobs in Victoria for Victorians.
