Latrobe Magnesium Ltd. Announces RWE Concept Study to Concluded the German Magnesium Extraction Project

Latrobe Magnesium Limited has completed the RWE Concept Study which concluded the German magnesium extraction project to be economically viable and worthy of further development. The Project was defined in the study as a magnesium plant producing 40,000 tonnes of magnesium per annum and some 320,000 tonnes of cementitious material. RWE Power AG is part of the RWE Group in Germany and has a confidentiality agreement with LMG to examine the feasibility of extracting magnesium metal from its Hambach mine based on LMG's technology.

Latrobe Magnesium Secures Brownfield Site in Latrobe Valley for Future Magnesium Plant

Latrobe Magnesium Limited has secured a site for its 40,000 tones per annum magnesium plant in the Latrobe Valley in eastern Victoria. LMG has finalised documentation with the vendor Di Fabrizio family for securing the site at 320 Tramway Road Morwell. The site contains over 14,000 m2 of office and factory buildings that are 8 to 10 meters high. These buildings are on approximately 13% of the 10.95 hectares of land. The existing buildings are more than sufficient to accommodate LMG's initial 5,000 tone per annum magnesium plant and allows sufficient room for expansion. The site is ideally situated close to existing gas and water pipelines and local infrastructure.
