The company operates in Annuities, Retirement Plan Services, Life Insurance, and Group Protection segments. It sells a range of wealth protection, accumulation, and retirement income products and solutions. These products include fixed and indexed annuities, variable annuities, universal life insurance (UL), variable universal life insurance (VUL), linked-benefit UL, term life insurance, indexed universal life insurance, and employer-sponsored retirement plans and services, as well as group life, disability, and dental products. The company also provides various plan investment vehicles, including individual and group variable annuities, group fixed annuities, and mutual fund-based programs; single and survivorship versions of UL and VUL, including corporate-owned UL and VUL, and bank-owned UL and VUL insurance products; and group non-medical insurance products, principally term life, universal life, disability, dental, vision, accident, and critical illness insurance to the employer market place through various forms of contributory and non-contributory plans. Lincoln National Corporation distributes its products through consultants, brokers, planners, agents, financial advisors, third-party administrators, and other intermediaries. Lincoln National Corporation was founded in 1904 and is headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania.

Lincoln Financial Group announced that Chris A. Giovanni has been named Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations. He will report to Randal J. Freitag, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Giovanni will assume the role from current Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations, James Sjoreen, who announced earlier this year that he will retire at the end of 2014. He is based in Atlanta, Ga. and reports to Celeste Gurule, Managing Director in Lincoln's Retirement Plan Services business. Most recently, Nabulsi served as vice president of Wealth Management at First Citizens Bank and Trust where he partnered with multiple lines of business to deliver a holistic and comprehensive approach to managing clients' wealth.

Lincoln Financial Group Names Pearl Sumathi Vice President of Talent Development

Lincoln Financial Group has announced that Pearl Sumathi joined the organization as vice president of Talent Development, effective September 3, 2014. She reports to Jen Warne, senior vice president of Talent at Lincoln Financial Group. In her new role, Sumathi will lead the company's enterprisewide learning and leadership development programs. Sumathi joins Lincoln Financial from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Executive Education department, where she served as a director.
