LTC Properties Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported a 10.1% increase in normalized funds from operations to $19.0 million from $17.3 million for the comparable 2012 period. Normalized FFO per diluted common share was $0.61, an increase of 8.9% from $0.56 for the comparable 2012 period. The increase in normalized FFO and normalized FFO per diluted common share was due to higher revenues from acquisitions partially offset by an increase in interest expense and higher weighted average shares outstanding. FFO was $18.2 million compared to $17.2 million for the first quarter of 2012. FFO per diluted common share was $0.59 compared to $0.56 for the first quarter of 2012. The increase in FFO and FFO per diluted common share was due to higher revenues from acquisitions partially offset by an increase in interest expense, general and administrative expenses and higher weighted average shares outstanding. Net income available to common stockholders was $12.1 million or $0.40 per diluted share compared to net income available to common stockholders of $12.0 million or $0.40 per diluted share a year ago. The increase in net income available to common stockholders was due primarily to higher revenues from acquisitions partially offset by an increase in interest expense, higher depreciation and amortization expense, the one-time charges related to its Senior Vice President's retirement and higher weighted average shares outstanding. Total revenues were $25.663 million compared to $22.640 million a year ago. Income from continuing operations was $12.976 million or $0.40 per basic and diluted common share compared to $12.916 million or $0.40 per basic and diluted common share a year ago. Net income was $12.932 million compared to $12.154 million a year ago.
