Macmahon Holdings Ltd engages in the provision of civil construction and contract mining services in Mongolia, Nigeria, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Australia. The company provides surface mining services, including drill and blast mining, bulk and selective mining, crushing, screening, train loading, and the use of mining equipment; and underground mining services, such as cable bolting, shotcreting, shaft lining, and production drilling, as well as engineering services that include design, fabrication, and construction. It also offers construction services comprising earthworks, road formations, pavements, bridges, tunnels and embankments, drainage, and support infrastructure; railway solutions, including overhead traction, rail laying, signaling, and communications; and rail and track formation, quarry development, and quarrying. In addition, the company engages in the marine construction of breakwaters and groynes, wharves, jetties, and land reclamation; water construction of dams, dam and remediation, water storage, treatment and supply, pipelines, sewer infill, and mains; and construction of concrete infrastructure, access and haul, and services installation, as well as provides on-site maintenance and plant management support services. Macmahon Holdings Ltd was founded in 1963 and is headquartered in West Perth, Australia.

MacMahon Holdings Ltd. Reports Earnings Results for the Half Year Ended December 31, 2012; Revised Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal Year 2013

MacMahon Holdings Ltd. reported earnings results for the half year ended December 31, 2012. The Mining operations achieved a record AUD 533.3 million in revenue for the half, resulting in a net profit after tax of AUD 23.1 million, a 70% increase on the prior corresponding period. The company reported an overall loss (net after tax) of AUD 37.6 million, which includes AUD 60.7 million from its discontinued Construction Business, following major write-downs at its Hope Downs 4, Solomon and Urban Superway projects. The company revised earnings guidance for the fiscal year 2013. The company has revised its earnings guidance for the 2013 Financial Year to a net loss after tax in the range of AUD 10 million to AUD 20 million. The profit before tax guidance for the ongoing Mining Business is expected to be in excess of AUD 85 million, subject to unexpected events including wet weather.

MacMahon Holdings Ltd. Announces Executive Appointments

MacMahon Holdings Ltd. announced the appointments of Mr. Fraser Ramsay to the role of Chief Operating Officer - Surface Mining and Infrastructure Services and Mr. Nick Cernotta to the role of Chief Operating Officer - Underground, International and Engineering. Mr. Ramsay joined Macmahon in 2005 and has 25 years of experience in the mining and construction industry. He was appointed to the role of Executive General Manager Surface Mining in November 2009 and has been responsible for the business' continued success since that time, including the award of the Tropicana and Christmas Creek Mine expansion contracts. Prior to joining Macmahon's mining business, Mr. Ramsay successfully ran a number of large construction projects in Queensland. He will continue to oversee Surface Mining, while also managing Infrastructure Services which will complete small construction projects for the company's Mining clients. Mr. Cernotta joins Macmahon on February 18, 2013, having most recently held the position of Director of Operations at Barrick Gold ­ Australia Pacific RBU.
