Madhusudan Securities Ltd. reported unaudited standalone earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012. For the quarter, net sales /income from operations was INR 2,167.6 million compared to INR 2,452.6 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income finance cost and exceptional items was INR 626.6 million compared to INR 609.3 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 658.6 million against INR 502.8 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 492.8 million or INR 1.50 per basic and diluted share compared to net loss of INR 364.3 million or INR 1.11 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
