Mobivity Holdings Corp. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2014

Mobivity Holdings Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of $903,000, down 12.1% from $1,028,000 in the first quarter of 2013. The decrease in revenues for the quarter is attributable to an approximate $116,000 impact due to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) that went into effect on October 16, 2013, and the reduction in revenues from short-term projects and legacy non-strategic customers. Operating loss was $1,795,000 compared to an operating loss of $280,000 in the corresponding period a year ago. Net loss was $1,764,000, or $0.10 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $2,423,000, or $0.63 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2013. Non-GAAP adjusted net loss was $1,409,000 as compared to $153,000 during the prior year period. Non-GAAP adjusted EPS was $0.08 against $0.04 a year ago. Loss before income taxes were $1,763,748 against $2,423,216 a year ago.

Mobivity Adds Former SmartReceipt Executives to Leadership Team

Mobivity Holdings Corp. announced that it has appointed two former SmartReceipt executives to leadership roles with Mobivity. Nick Bolton has been named Mobivity's vice president of client services. In his new role, Bolton will manage the daily customer-facing operations for Mobivity clients. Bolton, who joined SmartReceipt in 2005 as system and sales engineer when the company was named Nutricate, was most recently VP of Operations. Prior to that, he was director of operations and before that product manager. Also, Jonathan Cassell has been named vice president of business development. In his new role, Cassell will spearhead monetization efforts for clients and business prospects. Cassell, who joined SmartReceipt in 2009 following the acquisition of his previous SaaS (software-as-a-service) venture, most recently was VP of business development. Prior to that, he led the repositioning and rebranding of the company from a nutrition and wellness brand into an innovative marketing platform renamed SmartReceipt.
