The company offers surface mount equipment comprising pick and place, and jet printing solutions used for surface mounting of electronic components on circuit boards and for stencil-free application of solder paste on circuit boards; and pattern generators, including mask writers, direct writers, and laser direct imaging systems for use in the manufacture of semiconductor circuits and advanced electronic packaging, as well as displays used in tablets, smart phones, TVs, and computers. It also provides various display pattern generators consisting of Prexision series laser pattern generators for photomask production; LRS15-N laser pattern generator for manufacturing mature photomasks for display applications; MMS15000, a registration measurement system for TFT-LCD and color filter photomasks; and FPS5500, which produces photomasks for various applications, such as light emitting diodes, touch panels, and advanced packaging. In addition, the company offers semiconductor products, including Sigma7700 laser-based pattern generator for photomask manufacturing of advanced chips and image devices; and Omega6800-XT and Omega6080-XT laser pattern generators for the production of mainstream semiconductor photomasks. Micronic Mydata AB (publ) announced consolidated and parent earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013. For the quarter on consolidated basis, the company reported net sales of SEK 226.3 million against SEK 295.2 million a year ago. The decline in sales can be explained primarily by the weak market for SMT equipment and negative currency trends within both business areas. LBIT was SEK 10.9 million against EBIT of SEK 1.8 million a year ago. Loss before tax was SEK 10.3 million against earnings before tax of SEK 4.0 million a year ago. Net loss was SEK 10.3 million against SEK 8.3 million a year ago. Loss per share was SEK 0.11 against SEK 0.08 a year ago. Cash flow from operations was SEK 7.9 million against cash flow used in operations of SEK 19.7 million a year ago. Negative return on equity was 0.9% against 0.7% a year ago. Capital spending in fixed assets was SEK 0.9 million against SEK 1.2 million a year ago. Adjusted LBIT was SEK 10.9 million against adjusted EBIT of SEK 1.8 million a year ago. On parent basis for the quarter, the company reported net sales of SEK 56.9 million against SEK 39.8 million a year ago. LBIT was SEK 0.9 million against SEK 59 million a year ago.
