The company operates 14 offices located in Dauphin, Northumberland, Schuylkill, and Cumberland counties. Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. was founded in 1868 and is headquartered in Millersburg, Pennsylvania.

For the quarter, the company reported net interest income of $6,544,000 against $6,441,000 a year ago. Net income available to common shareholders was $1,507,000 or $0.43 basic earnings per share against $1,400,000 or $0.40 basic earnings per share a year ago. Return on average equity was 10.73% against 11.37% a year ago. The net income increase was driven by continued improvement in Mid Penn's cost of funds and asset quality, yielding reduced interest expense and loan loss provision for the quarter compared to the same period last year. Net income available to common shareholders was $4,550,000 or $1.30 basic earnings per share against $3,303,000 or $0.95 basic earnings per share a year ago. Return on average equity was 11.39% against 9.00% a year ago. Net interest income improvement has been supported by both increased interest income and decreased interest expense.
