metalcorp ltd (MTC) Key Developments

MetalCORP Limited Announces Results of Its Recent Pickle Lake Exploration Drilling Program

MetalCORP Limited announced the results of its recent Pickle Lake exploration drilling program. In February 2013, Metalcorp completed a 708m NQ2 drilling program in Connell Township at the Company's Pickle Lake Property under deep muskeg. Targeting included untested EM and IP anomalies as well as previous published sampling and drilling results across structural trends north east of the historical Central Patricia mine site and west of the historical Pickle Crow mine site. The first two holes, PLC1347 and PLC1348, each 212m in length, intersected significant widths of auriferous graphite in an intermediate volcanic tuff which explains the targeted geophysical anomaly. Additional unanticipated auriferous horizons intersected in intermediate volcanic flows indicate the need for further exploration of the unsampled horizons in both of these holes. The third hole, PLC1349, totalled 284m in length and intersected successions of mafic to felsic volcanic flows and tuffs. This hole was sampled in its entirety for prospective purposes. Best results were 0.27 g/t Au (gold) over 12.5m including 0.51 g/t Au over 3.15m along with 0.9% Graphitic Carbon over 2.20m including 1.2% Graphitic Carbon over 1.05m from hole PLC1348.

MetalCORP Limited and Cava Resources Inc. Announce Results of Recent Drilling at Gouda Lake Zone on Hemlo East Property

MetalCORP Limited and Cava Resources Inc. announced that they have received all of the assay results from the recently completed diamond drill program on the Gouda Lake Zone in Metalcorp's Hemlo East Property, located approximately 12 kilometers southeast of the Hemlo Gold Mines near Marathon, Ontario. In late 2012, Metalcorp drilled 5 holes (HEGZ1230 to 34) totaling 1,056 meters to test a portion of the Gouda Lake Zone which was discovered by Lac Minerals in 1988. The Gouda Lake Zone is hosted within a 20 meter thick quartzsericite schist unit containing disseminated to semi massive sulphides (pyrite+/sphalerite with minor amounts of chalcopyrite and galena). The zone has been traced by historic diamond drilling for over 350 meters along strike. The Gouda Lake Zone is coincident with an AeroTEM anomaly indentified in and an airborne geophysics survey flown by Aeroquest International Ltd. for Metalcorp in 2008. In addition to the conductor coincident with the Gouda Lake Zone, the survey indentified 7 other priority untested electromagnetic anomalies along the Gouda Lake Trend including one area where surface channel samples returned values up to 0.74 gpt gold and 4.1% zinc.

MetalCORP Limited Mobilizes Drilling Program at Pickle Lake

MetalCORP Limited announced that it has mobilized a diamond drill program at its Pickle Lake Property in northwestern Ontario. The exploration program is designed to test highpriority targets based on previous geophysical surveys on the Property, including Induced Polarization, MMI and ElectroMagnetics. The program has been designed to include 4 holes totaling approximately 800 - 1,000 metres in both the Connell and Tarp Lake zones at the company's Pickle Lake Property.
