Namoi Cotton Co-operative Ltd is engaged in ginning and marketing cotton, marketing cotton seeds, and the commodity packing operations. The company operates 12 cotton gins in New South Wales and Queensland; and provides ginning services to growers, such as separation of lint cotton from seed and other foreign matter, and conversion of cotton in module form to bale form. It is also involved in the purchase of lint cotton from growers through various forward contracts; and trading, packing, and supplying cotton seeds in Australia, China, and Japan; and providing commodity packing services to third party customers. In addition, the company procures various grain and pulse crops from growers, and sells into various markets in Australia and internationally. Namoi Cotton Co-operative Ltd was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in Wee Waa, Australia.

Namoi Announces Retirement of Directors

Namoi Cotton Co-operative Ltd. Chairman, Mr. Stuart Boydell announced Mr. Bruce Longworth, a Grower Director of Namoi Cotton had retired, effective immediately. The company have been a Board member of Namoi Cotton since 2004 and the ensuing period has seen many challenges for the organization along with some wonderful achievements. The ability of the company, particularly in recent years to move through financially challenging circumstances whilst at the same time handle record ginning and cotton seed volumes has been of great pleasure to personally and a privilege to be a part of with my fellow Directors.

The directors of Namoi Cotton Co-operative Ltd. have elected to pay an interim distribution of 0.5 cents (2013: nil) per unit of Namoi Capital Stock and will consider a final distribution once the full-year result is finalized. The interim distribution has been recorded in the half year financials. Record date for determining entitlements to the interim dividend is October 17, 2014.

Namoi Cotton Co-operative Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the half year ended August 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported revenue from continuing operations of AUD 351.303 million compared to AUD 410.704 million a year ago. Profit before income tax was AUD 22.483 million compared to AUD 16.622 million a year ago. Profit from continuing operations was AUD 15.738 million compared to AUD 12.462 million a year ago. Profit and total comprehensive income attributable to the members of the company was AUD 15.738 million compared to AUD 12.462 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were 14.3 cents compared to 11.3 cents a year ago. Net cash inflow from operating activities were AUD 6.999 million compared to AUD 54.445 million a year ago.
