It operates in four segments: Market Services, Listing Services, Information Services, and Technology Solutions. The company provides trading on various exchanges and facilities across asset classes, such as derivatives, cash equities, debt, commodities, structured products, and exchange traded funds; and market data products, financial indexes, capital formation solutions, financial services, corporate solutions, and market technology products and services, as well as provides investment firm, clearing, settlement, and central depository services. It also offers trade reporting and trade comparison services, and risk management services; and broker services comprising technology and customized securities administration solutions to financial participants. In addition, the company provides global listing services; technology solutions for trading, clearing, settlement, surveillance, and information dissemination; and facility management integration, surveillance solutions, and advisory services, as well as develops and licenses NASDAQ OMX branded indexes, associated derivatives, and financial products. It offers technology solutions to approximately 70 exchanges, clearing organizations, and central securities depositories in approximately 50 countries; and surveillance solutions to exchanges, regulators, and brokers worldwide, as well as provides approximately 21,000 indexes. The company was formerly known as The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. and changed its name to The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. in February 2008. The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. was founded in 1971 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

The PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia and Nasdaq Signs Agreement for Nasdaq to Deliver X-Stream CSD, to KSEI

The PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia and Nasdaq have signed an agreement for Nasdaq to deliver X-stream CSD, to KSEI. The contract signed is for 10 years. The development of C-BEST Next-G is expected to accommodate the SWIFT message format of ISO 20022, which can be implemented globally. This will facilitate KSEI to conduct Cross Border Settlement with other countries in the future. The X-stream CSD solution offers KSEI key functionalities such as asset and custody management, trade and instruction capture, corporate action management REPO's, settlement as well as SLB, in addition to multi-asset, multi-currency, CSD linkages and multi-lingual services.

Nasdaq Announces Executive Changes

Nasdaq announced a series of leadership appointments across the company's Listing Services and Market Technology businesses. Lars Ottersgård and Nelson Griggs will be promoted to Executive Vice President of the firm's Market Technology and Listing Services businesses, respectively. Other leadership moves include Bruce Aust, who has been elevated to Vice Chairman, Listing Services and Bob McCooey, who has taken on the development of a new global key account management program. These leadership changes are effective immediately. Lars Ottersgård has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Market Technology, reporting to Ms. Friedman. Mr. Ottersgård will assume full executive responsibility for the Market Technology business unit, serving the business' customers, which include more than 70 marketplaces in 50 countries, with industry leading software solutions. Nelson Griggs has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Nasdaq Listing Services business unit, reporting to Ms. Friedman. Bruce Aust, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Listing Services, will transition to Vice Chairman of Nasdaq, based in San Francisco, CA. Bob McCooey, Senior Vice President, will continue his current leadership role within the Listing Services group, but will also assume a new role developing and leading a new global key account management program.

NASDAQ OMX Announces Retirement of John L. Jacobs as Executive Vice President, Effective from January 2, 2015

NASDAQ OMX announced that senior executive John L. Jacobs will retire after more than 30 years of leadership and service to the company. Effective January 2, 2015, Mr. Jacobs will retire from his position as Executive Vice President of Global Information Services. Mr. Jacobs has agreed to serve as a strategic advisor to the company through 2015.
