Nestlé S.A. announced earnings results for the first half ended June 2014. For the period, the company's sales fell 4.8% to CHF 42.981 billion ($47.279 billion) from the same period a year ago. The Group's trading operating profit was CHF 6.4 billion. The reported trading operating profit margin was 15.0%. Net profit was down to CHF 4.6 billion, reported earnings per share were CHF 1.45, both impacted by the strong Swiss Franc. Underlying earnings per share in constant currencies were up 3.6%. Operating cash flow was CHF 4.3 billion. For the full year 2014, the company announced outlook is confirmed with organic growth around 5% and improvements in margins, underlying earnings per share in constant currencies and capital efficiency.

Nestlé S.A. Moves its Hot Pockets Operation from the San Fernando Valley to Mount Sterling, Ky.; Invests $13 Million to Expand the Kentucky Facility

Nestlà USA announced it is moving its Hot Pockets operation from the San Fernando Valley to Mount Sterling, Ky., potentially ending the jobs of 360 workers at the Chatsworth plant. The company announced that it is investing $13 million to expand the Kentucky facility and is hiring 150 workers as the operation transitions to a 24/7 schedule.
